THE NEWBORN EXPERIENCE
I understand the hesitation inviting a stranger to your hospital room – to avoid this, I offer a complementary maternity session with every newborn experience. This gives us a change to meet and get comfortable with my relaxed, documentary photography style that still offers gentle guided posing that looks and feels natural.
Once baby arrives, you’ll have access to the “report a birth” form so you can share the news with me at any hour. We’ll coordinate a flexible session date/time during your hospital stay or adjust according to your needs.
When the session arrives, I’ll arrive to your hospital room having already started my shoot, documenting key elements of the hospital for the memory book. I’ll get set up, answer any questions, find the best light in the room, and take some test shots. I’ll guide you and dad through some gentle ways to interact with your newborn that detail key features, size comparisons, and new moments between family and baby.

I’m a Maine-based photographer and a mother myself, which means I know exactly how fast this all goes. Whether you just met your baby, you’re sending a senior off to college, or you’re somewhere in the middle of all of it, I’m here to capture the version of your family that’s true right now, not the one that’s easy to pose. I take real pride in the trust families place in me, and I love helping mothers remember these milestones clearly.
